Leipzig's Keita to face Schalke amid early Liverpool move reports

10. Philippe Coutinho £355m

Naby Keita's hopes of joining Liverpool early have been dealt a fresh boost. It remains to be seen if the Reds are willing to pay an added fee as they are already paying a premium to sign him in the summer.

What I would say is he's obviously very athletic, got a lot of qualities - a bit like Jordan Henderson has.

In the 13 league games since then, Liverpool has won nine and drawn the other four. Someone like Gerrard, Souness, Alonso, Mascherano - these type of players.

Liverpool officially agreed a deal to sign Naby Keita from Leipzig for next season and the player will join the club on July, 1st.

Keita has scored five goals for Leipzig, and assisted another, in all competitions so far this season, but it is his disciplinary record side has Rolfes anxious.

While the club have slapped a price on his head, Leipzig coach Ralph Hasenhüttl wants the 22-year-old to remain with the Bundesliga team.

According to Bleacher Report, West Ham United attacking midfielder Manuel Lanzini has had no contact from Liverpool yet, but sources close to the player believe that could change. The Guinean global registered eight goals and seven assists, helping his side to an impressive second place finish in their first season as a top flight team.

Some are of the opinion the Guinean's form has not been as impressive this term, returning just two goals and one assist to date.

Coutinho was best man at Firmino's wedding last summer.

Now Halstenberg, capped for the first time by Germany this campaign, has told Goal.com exactly what it is which makes Keita such a threat-and why Liverpool were so keen to land him.

Leipzig are coming around to the idea of banking that massive sum of money now and reinvesting it in their squad; although the club's owners, Red Bull, have plenty of resources, Liverpool's offer would circumvent FFP rules.
