YouTube Kills Logan Paul Projects, Bumps Him From 'Preferred' Channel List

Logan Paul may face 'further consequences' from YouTube

The video received immediate backlash across the internet, with many noting that a chunk of Paul's following in Youtube are minors.

Almost two weeks after Logan Paul posted a YouTube video depicting an apparent suicide victim - and just over a week after he removed it and apologized - the online video platform has announced it is scaling back its relationship with the vlogging star. In addition, YouTube has halted all its original content with Paul. The video streaming website was also under criticism when Paul posted the video because the site reviewed it and still posted it and they didn't even take down the video Paul did.

The site added that Paul's video violated its guidelines and it was "looking at further consequences".

Google is planning a new push to vet top-tier YouTube videos that it bundles for major advertisers, people familiar with the effort said, moving to address resurgent concerns that inappropriate content is being shown alongside brand messages.

Going in to film the "haunted" forest, they come across a man's body and are shocked but also make jokes. Like many others, we were upset by the video that was shared last week.

Paul now has three YouTube Red projects that are all on hold, Logan Paul Vs. and The Thinning - New World Order and he will be written off of Foursome.

On Jan. 3, three days after posting the video, Paul announced on Twitter that he was stepping away from posting videos "for now", and "taking time to reflect". While it's likely that YouTube would have eventually flagged the video, its systems and moderators did not do so before the video garnered millions of views and likes. YouTube took similar action past year when PewDiePie made anti-semitic comments. At the time they were filming, the YouTuber and his group encountered a body hanging from a tree from an apparent suicide incident. On Dec. 4, YouTube CEO Susan Wojcicki published a blog post announcing the hiring of more than 10,000 moderators to improve the flagging process and tackle the issues plaguing the platform. You're right to be.

A YouTube spokesperson says YouTube prohibits violent or gory content posted in a shocking, sensational or disrespectful manner, and the company issued a "strike" against Paul's channel after the posting.
