Like every India-Pakistan clash, this encounter too went down the wire.

Hosts Pakistan had set India a target of 308 runs at a loss of eight wickets in their allotted 40 overs after they were put into bat.

Defending champions, India have beaten Pakistan for the second time in this edition of the tournament. India's Sunil Ramesh scored 93 and Ajay Kumar Reddy scored 62.

Thegame's pendulum was swinging on both the sides but team India managed to keep their calm and never lost hopes. However, after the fall of first wicket in form of Venkatesh for 35, India lost two more wickets in quick session. Pakistan claimed three successive wickets to gain an upper hand.

Batting first, Pakistan were guided to a competitive total courtesy a fluent half century by Badar Munir.Munir was lent solid support by Riyasat Khan and captain Nisar Ali who played handy knocks with the willow.

This is India’s second title win in the Blind Cricket World Cup. Interestingly, they had won the first World Cup by outclassing Pakistan in the final in December 2014 in Cape Town, South Africa.

Following the win, the Consulate General of India, Dubai announced that the Consulate General of India will organise a felicitation program for the players and officials of Indian blind cricket team on 21 January in Consulate auditorium.
