YouTube suspends all advertising from all Logan Paul YouTube channels

YouTube has suspended controversial You Tube vlogger Logan Paul soon after he tasered deceased rats in a video posted to his channel

"After careful consideration, we have made a decision to temporarily suspend ads on Logan Paul's YouTube channels", the representative said.

After the uproar at the start of the year over Paul's December 31 video showing an apparently lifeless, hanging body, he took a leave of absence from social media and YouTube removed him from Google Preferred, a premier ad service that offers brand advertisers access to top channel producers.

In a video posted one day after his re-emergence, Paul yells that "no rat comes into my house without getting Tased" before firing a stun gun into two dead rats on his patio.

After filming a suicide victim's dead body, terrorizing Japanese citizens with tasteless pranks, and exhibiting racism towards Asians in the past, Logan Paul has finally done something unforgivable in the eyes of YouTube.

YouTube is hitting controversial creator Logan Paul where it hurts, by putting a dent in his estimated $40,000-$700,000 a month of ad revenue.

The statement reads, "This is not a decision we made lightly".

"Paul tasered a rat in his most recent video and deliberately tried to monetize the video that clearly violated our advertiser-friendly guidelines", the spokeswoman said.

Paul did not immediately respond to a request for comment for this story.

However he was soon back to his old tricks, posting a tweet mocking the risky Tide Pod challenge and saying he would swallow one tide laundry detergent pod per retweet.

It's also says it's concerned his actions could "damage" other bloggers.

Paul eventually issued an apology on Twitter and later issued a video apology for the incident.

On his return to YouTube, Paul said: "I know for a fact everything I do from this point on will get criticism, it will get backlash, because I'm a very polarising dude".

Google Preferred is reserved for the top channels on YouTube, and is more expensive for advertisers. It's an apparent reference to the so-called "Tide Pod challenge", an online trend involving videos of mostly young people biting or ingesting the colorful toxic laundry detergent pods. Crucify me, vilify me, and I can promise you one thing, guys. The youtuber didn't appear noticeably humbler than ever before his hiatus. SocialBlade's estimate has since dropped - the site now estimates that Paul could make a maximum of US$700,000 (NZ$965,000) in a month, but it's not clear whether that's due to the lack of premium ad access, that Paul took a weeks-long break from posting new videos, or a combination of both.
