Watch Alec Baldwin lampoon Donald Trump on gun control

President Donald Trump took a break from dealing with the turmoil in his administration to lash out once again at actor Alec Baldwin in an early-morning Twitter rant.

Baldwin-Trump riffed on Trump's surprise comments on gun control and the latest White House chaos--which the President explained was in keeping with his promise of "run [ning] this country like a business".

"We have to take a hard look at mental health, which I have so much of", Baldwin said. Nobody is allowed to have a gun.

"The youth of America deserve to feel safe and secure in their schools", he continued, but "folks, I can only run into so many schools and save everybody..." "I'm actually very fast runner, people don't even know..."

Baldwin, a father of four whose career only a few years ago was dogged by run-ins with the paparazzi, had told The Hollywood Reporter of his portrayal of Trump: "Every time I do it now, it's like agony". My mentals are so high'. "And that's another project I'm working on", Baldwin said.

He also lamented that the USA was being surpassed by China, Japan and Wakanda - the fictional setting of the hit movie "Black Panther".

"My point is, we can't just let anybody have an assault rifle - same way we can't just let any country have a nuke", Che said. "They got flying cars in Wakanda".

Eventually Baldwin's Trump got around to Hope Hicks ("I hate seeing her go, but I love seeing her walk away") and the flood of White House resignations - they all left, he said, because they just couldn't stop laughing at his Mr. Magoo jokes about Jeff Sessions. Kate McKinnon brings back her incredible and deeply unsettling Jeff Sessions impression for the last little bit, and it's everything Trump-era SNL fans could hope for.
