Oscars Reportedly Planning To Address Trump & Stormy Daniels Affair

Utah Dem to propose 'Stormy Daniels rampway' for highway to be named after Trump

Michael Cohen, Trump's longtime lawyer, sent the money through an account he created at First Republic Bank, the report says.

The reported $130,000 payment from President Donald Trump's personal lawyer to a former adult-film actress was flagged as suspicious by the participating bank to the Treasury Department, according to a new report. Cohen reportedly bungled the payments because he couldn't get a hold of Trump during the hectic final days of the campaign. The Wall Street Journal also reported that friends said Cohen complained about not being reimbursed for the six-figure payoff, undercutting his own claim.

The White House and Cohen have vehemently denied reports that Trump and Daniels had a year-long affair that started a few weeks after First Lady Melania gave birth to their son, Barron, in 2006.

First Republican, the Wall Street Journal's sources said, flagged the transaction and alerted the Treasury Department. He called the new revelations reported by the Wall Street Journal "fake news".

Waters also claimed a "disoriented " president is a unsafe thing for America after The Washington Post reported that the Trump administration's morale is an "all-time low" as the president is outraged by the negative coverage of the White House, including the controversy surrounding senior adviser Jared Kushner. Cohen declined to comment on whether Trump or anyone else reimbursed him. "And I'd refer you to Michael".

Cohen confirmed in a statement following Common Cause's complaint that he used his "personal funds to facilitate a payment of $130,000 to Ms. Stephanie Clifford", and that he did so without the Trump Organization or campaign as a party to the transaction.

The Journal, citing a source, said that the payment was received October 27 at City National Bank in Los Angeles.

"As a matter of policy, we don't confirm or comment on inquiries from regulatory agencies or law enforcement, including subpoenas", City National told CNBC.

Cohen last month acknowledged that he made the payment, and denied it violated any campaign finance laws.
