Monty Python full catalog coming to Netflix… and just maybe new material

13 Reasons Why's second series will feature cast warning about show's'tough topics

The intro will be played before episodes, both as a warning to and show of support for viewers. In a bid to better understand the conversation surrounding the show between teens and parents, Netflix commissioned a global research study with Northwestern University's Center on Media and Human Development, "Exploring How Teens and Parents Responded to 13 Reasons Why".

"But if you are struggling with these issues yourself, this series may not be right for you".

Before season 2 starts, Netflix is taking measures to open up more lines of communication for those who watch the show and might be at risk.

For the new season, the streaming service will be adding a new after show featuring actors, experts and educators who will participate in more informed conversations about the events of each episode.

Vivian wrote about the synopsis for the second season of 13 Reasons Why, saying that with other characters getting to have their narratives heard with regard to the story of S1, "it's possible they'll use that opportunity to address those criticisms". Some praised the show for bringing topics like depression, sexual assault, and bullying awareness - but, others thought the show took it a step too far and had the potential to encourage those very issues.

The clip concludes by telling viewers: 'The minute you start talking about it, it gets easier'.

But US star Selena Gomez, who is one of 13 Reasons Why's executive producers, has previously spoken out and defended the programme.

And now for something completely different, word is Netflix is also thinking about commissioning all-new Python material, which wouldn't be unusual as the group has reunited several times in the past.

"I'm a childhood sexual abuse rape at 19.and a survivor of suicide attempts", Prentice read out from the letter.

The show was graphic and detailed and tapped on so many sensitive topics. The results were shared Wednesday at a panel in NY that featured experts in suicide prevention and teen activism, as well as Netflix original series vp Brian Wright and 13 Reasons Why showrunner and creator Yorkey. And now, for Season 2, the show will directly respond to the complaints that it glamorizes teenage suicide.

Netflix has also established a discussion guide at 13ReasonsWhy.info, which includes advice from mental health experts and contact information for crisis prevention centers and helplines.
