Stormy Daniles interview to be broadcast on '60 Minutes'

President Donald Trump has referred to stories around his alleged affair with adult film star Stormy Daniels as a 'political hoax, ' a friend of the president said.

Stormy Daniels, who is due to give an interview on the CBS 60 Minutes programme on Sunday, claims she had an affair with Mr Trump and was paid $130,000 to sign an agreement to stay silent.

Contrary to its usual practice, CBS has not released excerpts of the interview, which will air Sunday at 7:00 pm (2300 GMT) on the network's flagship "60 Minutes" program.

Ruddy said none of the allegations lodged by Clifford, which the White House has denied, have included claims of harassment. Daniels argues that the agreement is void because Trump didn't sign the agreement.

"Michael Avenatti, Daniels's attorney, responded sarcastically on Twitter, comparing her claims to other "hoaxes" like the moon landing". She is expected to reveal details of the affair she claims she had with Trump in 2006.

The adult film star offered little new evidence for her allegation of a 2006 affair with Trump. McDougal filed a lawsuit last week against American Media Inc., the company that owns the National Enquirer, which allegedly paid her $150,000 not to speak about her affair. In court documents filed last week, Mr Cohen said that Ms Daniels had already breached the contract at least 20 times and that he intends to collect at least US$20 million from her.

Since then, Daniels has driven the news cycle with countless reports about her alleged affair.

Daniels - facing a £14m lawsuit from Trump's lawyers - says she will use the money to pay for her legal fees in her battle to "tell the truth" about her supposed fling with the married Republican.

Cohen has admitted to facilitating a payment to Daniels in 2016. Two days after filing a lawsuit against Trump in Los Angeles Superior Court, he tweeted a photograph of himself with Daniels and journalist Anderson Cooper with the Twitter handle @60Minutes and no further comment.

Those who have been following this story have likely noticed it has turned into a he-said-she-said matter. "So the president looks at this and I think he's looking at it like I'm looking at it".
