Upon getting information, senior officers, including Indore commissioner Sanjay Dubey, collector Nishant Warwade and DIG Harinaryanchari Mishra reached the spot. A magisterial inquiry has also been ordered into the incident. The identities of the other six deceased, including the two women, were yet to be established.
