Commonwealth Games 2018 Medal Count: Winners and Final Table After Day 10

Mary Kom will face Kristina O'HARA of Northern Ireland in the Women's 45-48kg Final Bout

Actress Priyanka Chopra, who is now shooting for her American TV show, Quantico, in Ireland, took to social media to congratulate boxer Mary Kom on winning gold in her maiden Commonwealth Games appearance.

"In addition to the results, the Commonwealth Games has provided a valuable opportunity for our younger riders to gain experience of competing at a high global level, and I'm sure they will take plenty of learnings away for this event to use at future major competitions".

Gold Coast: Indian shooter Anish Bhanwala, 15, became India's youngest ever gold medallist in the Common Wealth Games (CWG).

India's Mary Kom, devastated not to gain a wildcard for the 2016 Rio Olympics, gave mixed signals about whether she would now target the Tokyo 2020 Games and a first Olympic gold. The legendary boxer wins gold in women's 45-48kg boxing competition.

It's a fourth Commonwealth Games medal for Heading who won gold and silver in Delhi in 2010 and silver in Glasgow in 2014.

India's squad for Gold Coast was a bit lopsided in the quality and quantity in midfield.

"Any inclusion of basketball is great for us because the sport hasn't been at the Games in any format since 2006", she said. "The team is also disappointed that for all the effort we put, we didn't get the result".
