Accused killer granny last seen in Texas - nationwide search underway

Hanover family on bizarre crime that left Florida woman dead

Surveillance video of that alleged encounter was released on Monday, where a woman said to be Riess is seen smiling and talking to the woman believed to be Hutchinson. - The Lee County Sheriff's Office has released a surveillance video that shows homicide suspect Lois Ann Riess at the Smokin' Oyster Brewery on April 5, at about 5:40 p.m.

Detectives came to the conclusion that Hutchinson had been targeted because of how she looked and named Lois Riess as a person of interest in the investigation.

The Dodge County Sheriff's Office and the Dodge County Attorney are preparing second-degree murder charges against Riess for the murder of her husband, David. Riess is also wanted in the March death of her husband, David Riess.

Riess is believed to have befriended Hutchinson in Fort Myers, Fla., before killing her and stealing her identity.

"It was just evil", Jeffreys said. Police say the same gun was used in both slayings.

Authorities say Riess, a grandmother and mother of three, has a history of gambling addiction problems. Hutchinson's purse was found in disarray and her keys were missing.

Anyone who has had recent contact with Riess or has any information on her whereabouts is asked to call the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension's tip line at 1-877-996-6222 or contact Southwest Florida Crime Stoppers at 1-800-780-TIPS.

The obituary for David Riess was published last week, and mentioned his children and grandchildren, but not wife.

She had left Iowa by the time police tracked her there in late March, the BCA said.

On the "Today" broadcast, Marceno said that Riess will run out of money and could possibly kill again.
