Bethesda Game Studios reveals Fallout 76

Bethesda Teases ‘Fallout’ News With Hours Long Livestream

This is another indication that Fallout 76 will be played around Vault 76.

According to the fan encyclopedia at Fallout Wikia, Vault 76 was meant to open just 20 years after a 2077 nuclear conflict. Finally, we see the Vault Dweller gearing up in a shiny Vault 76 suit and strapping on a PIP Boy, which indicates the dweller is about to leave the vault.

With Vault 76 being a control group, the occupants will likely experience none of this. While all Vaults functioned as advertised for all its inhabitants, the control vaults were created to open its doors for the objective of repopulation after a set period of time. The vault is said to be located in West Virginia, which according to the lore was an impoverished region due to them illegally separating itself from Virginia 214 years before the Great War. While some of the more popular theories were Fallout 5, Fallout Online, and a remaster of Fallout 3, Bethesda seems to have forgotten how to count. After this, a lone man, dressed in a Vault 76 jumpsuit seemingly dresses to head out into the wasteland. So, still a prequel, but also still a little confusing. In addition to RAGE 2, Bethesda has essentially announced that the main event of their showcase will revolve around their flagship series, Fallout. We'll be sure to find out more in the coming weeks, that much is for sure. This would place the game just outside of Washington DC, making for a possible return to some Fallout 3 settings. It's set in 2102, at least.

More news: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's honeymoon: Where could they be?

Earlier this morning, Bethesda Game Studios posted an image on every social media website they are a part of. As we all know, just adding multiplayer to a single player series doesn't fix everything. Could this be a Fallout MMO? We've been waiting for the big hitters in development to tackle genres like DayZ-style survival and battle royale. Probably not that last one.

In case you didn't know, Bethesda are the folks behind games such as Rage, Dishonored, Wolfenstein, the Doom reboot, The Evil Within, and Prey.
