Liverpool Schedule 2018-19: Premier League Fixtures Released

Premier League fixtures

The first Manchester derby, which will pit last season's top two against each other, is due to take place on November 10 when Jose Mourinho's United make the short jounrey across town.

Jose Mourinho's side face Brighton and Hove Albion, Burnley, Watford and Wolves in other early-season games.

United, who begin their season at home to Leicester City, were the only team to claim three points at the Etihad against Guardiola's champions last season, with Paul Pogba inspiring the visitors to a 3-2 victory in April having trailed 2-0 at half-time.

All eyes will be on former Paris St Germain manager Emery as he attempts to revive Arsenal's fortunes after they missed out on the Champions League for a second successive season.

Spurs made the journey across north London to the national stadium last term while their successor ground to White Hart Lane was being built.

The longest winless run on opening day for a Premier League team has also been passed on from last season.

Guardiola's side will also face a mouth-watering New Year's Day fixture against Liverpool before taking on London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea at home in back-to-back matches at the beginning of February.

Tottenham are away to Newcastle United on the opening weekend on Aug 11-12.

Since their promotion in 2015, they have started with a draw in all three seasons - against Everton, Southampton and then dramatically against Liverpool a year ago thanks to Miguel Britos' stoppage-time equaliser.

Liverpool have been handed six home games directly after UCL fixtures, whereas Man United, Man City and Spurs have all been scheduled with a split three home and three away games.

The Premier League fixtures for the 2018-19 season were published on Thursday (Thursday night NZ Time) and the Arsenal-Man City game was the standout on the opening weekend.

Fulham begin with London derbies against Crystal Palace and Tottenham, while Cardiff follow their opener at Bournemouth with a home game against Newcastle.
