Prince Louis' christening date confirmed by Prince William and Kate Middleton

Royal baby latest

The Chapel Royal has a special tie to Prince William and his family, as it's where his late mother's coffin was held for a week before her funeral, and where Kate Middleton received communion just prior to her own royal wedding.

The good news for his football-loving dad, Prince William, is that 9 July is one of the rest days in the World Cup.

The next time we see the little Prince will be on July 9, the day of his christening and another very important date for the Royal family.

Here's an understatement for you: It's been a pretty hectic year for the royal family.

The attractive day will take place at the Chapel Royal at St. James's palace in London and will be conducted by Justin Welby, the Archbishop of Canterbury.

Princess Charlotte's (pictured) Christening took place at St. Mary Magdalene Church, Sandringham.

Meghan was also confirmed shortly after her baptism, meaning that she was then able to join her husband at Holy Communion.

The Queen, Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall are set to attend.

Louis will be wearing the same cream lace and satin gown worn by George and Charlotte. According to an official statement, the christening will take place in the Chapel Royal at St James's Palace - the same place where Louis' big brother Prince George was baptised.

Guests can expect to chow down on a slice of William and Kate's wedding cake, which was a fruit cake envisioned by Fiona Cairns.

The Duchess of Sussex was following Royal tradition.

He is the youngest brother of Prince George and Princess Charlotte and is fifth in line to the British throne.
