Xiaomi launches Redmi 6 Pro with 19:9 display and dual camera

The camera on the Mi Pad 4 is a 13megapixel unit with f/2.0 aperture. The Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro has been launched at a starting price of CNY 999 (roughly Rs. 10,500) for the basic variant. However, the new Mi Pad 4 does come with AI Face Unlock, which makes it easy for users to unlock the tablet in no time. During the launch, Xiaomi stressed on some of the highlights of the Mi Pad 4 as it is being touted to be made for single hand use.

A phone that seems to be an extension of the recently launched Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A The Redmi 6 Pro has an iPhone X-style notch up-front, dual rear cameras, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and a massive 4,000mAh battery under the hood.

Xiaomi kept its speed-addicted fans waiting for a number-skipping Mi 6 sequel a little longer than initially anticipated, and it looks like the enormous mid-range Mi Max 2 follow-up will also debut more than a year after its predecessor. Yuan 1,199 (or approx Rs 12,525) for the 4GB RAM and 32GB storage variant, and Yuan 1,299 (or approx Rs 13,570) for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage model.

For some perspective, the Redmi 6 Pro is the natural successor to the Redmi 4 Prime, a device that was released back in 2016. It will be powered by Snapdragon 710 octa-core processor, coupled with 6GB of RAM and 128GB internal storage.

For optics, it sports a dual rear camera with a 12MP primary Sony IMX486 sensor with LED flash, 1.25um pixel size, PDAF, f/2.2 aperture, and a secondary 5MP camera with Samsung S5K5E8 sensor, 1.12um pixel size, and f/2.2 aperture.

The Mi Pad 4 is the successor to the popular Mi Pad 3 that was launched in China in April past year. The phone sports a glass and metal design, with a 2.5D curved glass and is available in white, blue, gold and black colour options. The new Xiaomi tablet is available in Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi + LTE options with further RAM and storage variants. Sale starts at 10am CST on June 26. It will be backed up by 5400mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0's 18W fast charging. It's powered by a Snapdragon 625, which is all sorts of shocking at this point. Xiaomi's latest tablet also offers 4G LTE connectivity, something that is missing on the Mi Pad 3.
