Mourinho praises Bailly commitment to Man United

MIAMI FL- JULY 28 Bernardo Silva #20 celebrates after scoring a goal against Bayern Munich in the first half of the International Champions Cup at Hard Rock Stadium

Manchester United forward Anthony Martial is set to be fined two weeks wages by the club after failing to rejoin the squad for the final games of their pre-season tour of America, according to reports.

The wheels have threatened to come off during the club's pre-season tour of the United States, with the Portuguese becoming increasingly outspoken and irritated by a variety of matters.

Heeding the pleas from manager Jose Mourinho, Romelu Lukaku, Marcus Rashford and Phil Jones will all return three days earlier than scheduled to training, which could allow them to be in the squad to face Leicester City, depending on how long it takes them to get some fitness into their legs.

"Matic arrived from the World Cup, holiday, direct to surgery because something happened in the World Cup", Mourinho revealed.

Jose Mourinho has continued his pre-season meltdown with an astonishing attack on his youth team players.

"As I was saying to the players, some of my players will be in an awesome condition", he said.

Mourinho paid tribute to his first United signing for putting the club first, saying that Bailly is the ideal team player.

Martial has been strongly linked with a move away from United after his agent claimed the 22-year-old Frenchman wanted to leave for more opportunities. "I know the one who are ready for anything, and I know the ones who are not ready".

'I feel really sorry we couldn't give them [the fans] more, because we didn't have more players to bring, ' he said. We have just a few [senior] players here, lots of kids.

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho says he is confident that the club will sign at least one more player before the Premier League's transfer window closes on August 9. Now we have Real Madrid and after that we have Bayern Munich and that is our start.

Mourinho - who having guided United to Europa League and League Cup success in his first season - delivered nothing last term.
