Giuliani says he doesn't know if Trump would pardon Cohen

The American firebrand claimed there has been no collusion between his campaign and Russia

While collusion is not a technical legal charge, Mr Mueller could bring conspiracy charges if he believes there was such work by campaign members with Russian Federation.

The New York Times, in January article detailing an attempt by Trump to fire Mueller a year ago that the President ultimately backed off from, said Trump claimed one of Mueller's conflicts stemmed from a dispute over fees at the Trump National Golf Club in Sterling, Virginia.

It follows reports last week that longtime lawyer Michael Cohen is prepared to cooperate with investigators and say that Trump knew in advance about an infamous June 2016 Trump Tower meeting where Donald Trump Jr. met with Russians after the promise of "dirt" on rival Hillary Clinton. Then-Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort and Trump's son-in-law, Jared Kushner, also participated in that meeting. And I have said that over and over again - collusion is not a crime'.

"We are fully confident of the accuracy and reliability of the information that has been provided by Donald Trump Jr.in the various investigations", Futerfas said in a statement.

Mueller is reportedly investigating whether Trump obstructed justice and has looked at the president's tweets as a focus of that investigation.

The Trump legal team is open to Mueller interviewing Trump with questions related to "an area of collusion, not obstruction", Giuliani said on Monday.

On Monday, Giuliani called on Mueller to "be a man" and disclose the alleged conflict of interest, though the former New York City mayor said he wasn't aware of what it was.

Host Alisyn Camerota asked why it was up to Mueller to support the president's tweet.

Giuliani also sent a message to Mueller: It's time for the special counsel to "put up or shut up".

'Because he has the conflict, not the president, ' said Giuliani.

Trump unleashed a new broadside against Mueller and his investigation late Sunday, accusing the prosecutor of undisclosed "conflicts of interest" involving him, "including the fact that we had a very nasty & contentious business relationship".

Giuliani told CNN's "New Day" on Monday that Mueller's team had been unresponsive to their recommendations for an interview between Mueller and the President for 10 days, adding that he believed the Mueller team is "in bad faith about an interview at this point".

The message marked the first time Mr Trump publicly elaborated on prior vague claims of conflicts of interest.

(While we're at it, election "meddling" isn't either.) The U.S. code mostly uses the term "collusion" in antitrust laws to address crimes like price fixing. "Now, we've got the Cohen (tapes)".
