To take part in the dance challenge, people jump out of a slow moving auto and dance alongside it to Drake's song "In my Feelings".

The Indian police especially Uttar Pradesh Police are having a tough time with the KIKI Challengers. Celebrities including Will Smith, Kevin Hart and Odell Beckham Jr among others have also popularized the challenge. Actors like Adah Sharma and Nia Sharma have shared their videos on Instagram. Some videos of the dances uploaded on social media show dancers crashing into poles, tripping on potholes or falling out of the cars, being hit by another vehicle and their valuables being stolen as well. Police including Spain, the USA and the United Arab Emirates warned people that the dance challenge is unsafe and people caught trying it could face criminal charges.

A senior police officer said there are sections under the Delhi Police Act under which the people indulging in the act can be booked for creating nuisance on the roads or playing loud music. In one clip a woman's handbag is stolen while attempting the challenge. Prosecutors ordered the arrest of three "social media influencers" after they posted videos of themselves taking part in the dance challenge, reported by the National newspaper in Abu Dhabi.

The Kiki challenge has now reached India and has several grooving to it with many people ending up with fatal injuries, so much that police had to intervene to warn people that this challenge is not cool. Moreover, looking at the poor, pothole-ridden roads in Mumbai, you definitely don't want to try it out here!
