Student poster prank in Texas McDonald's goes unnoticed for nearly two months

These Two Put Up A Fake Poster Of Themselves In McDonald's -- And Nobody Even Noticed

Maravilla told KHOU that one day in June, while he and his friend, Christian Toledo, 25 - both Filipino-American - were eating at their frequently visited Pearland McDonald's, they looked around and realized that none of the posters had any Asians in them.

If you haven't noticed, there isn't a lot of Asians represented in media.

Jevh Maravilla, who has Filipino heritage, chose to replace the faces of the models on the walls of the fast food chain with his own.

McDonald's, however, did not indicate whether it meant to remove Maravilla and Toledo's photo.

"It's now been 51 days since i hung it up", he said on Twitter on Monday, Sept. 3. Look around. There are literally no Asians on any of these walls.

To prevent suspicion, Jevh purchased a McDonald's shirt at a thrift store for $6.48 and dressed up as "Jeff Bergara". Maybe we can change that'.

"To this day, I can say that the poster has been up since", concludes Maravilla, "and I really hope they never take it down". His post showed photos of him and his friend, posing next to the poster featuring their faces. "Remember, folks, all races deserve recognition", Maravilla says in the video.

Maravilla's tweet about the poster went viral in under 24 hours. And I guess I did my part.

On July 13, with the help of some other friends, the duo snuck the poster into the restaurant and tacked it up when no one was looking.

In a statement obtained by DailyMail.com, Pearland McDonald's franchisee Mariselle Quijano said, "We take pride in highlighting diversity in every aspect of our restaurants". It would be, like, a dream come true'.
