Fans react to news of Adrien Rabiot's possible move to Liverpool

Aurelio De Laurentiis has criticised the system UEFA use for seeding teams in the Champions LeagueMore

The Brazil global, who has never played in the English top flight, seems to keep a close eye on what's happening in the United Kingdom, as was seemingly evident when he was asked recently to pick the four teams he thinks will qualify for the 2019/20 UEFA Champions League campaign.

He claims the Reds are "very keen" on the France worldwide, and Klopp in particular, having attempted to sign him while still manager at Borussia Dortmund.

The 26-year-old has sporadically been linked with a move to the Premier League, but has got his second season in Ligue 1 off to a good start, netting four times in four games.

However Klopp clearly isn't resting on his laurels just yet with ESPN reporting that he's trying to tie up a big move for next season.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp praised his "General" Jordan Henderson after the Reds captain signed a new five-year contract with the Premier League club.

The website reports that the Reds have been in contact with PSG midfielder Adrien Rabiot's agent, who happens to be his mum, over a potential free transfer in the summer and that Klopp and the player have spoken.

Former Liverpool and England left-back, Stephen Warnock has identified the club's defender, Andy Robertson as one of the most influential players in the Premier League this season.

Barcelona were interested in signing Rabiot during the recent transfer window but PSG were unwilling to sell.

Foreign players from outside the EEA must satisfy strict criteria to gain a work permit, such as playing in 60 per cent of global matches.

Rabiot could be on his way to Anfield.

Rabiot would be free to sign a pre-contract agreement with Liverpool in January, before making the switch to Anfield next summer.
