IPhone XS, Apple Watch Series 4, and more

Rumored Leak Indicates Apple's New Entry Level Smartphone To Be Called iPhone XC, Per 'The Verge'

It's expected to remove the physical home button and fingerprint sensor on the new iPhones and replace it with swiping gestures and the face-detecting technology found on the iPhone X. Like with that $999 5.8-inch device, screens will get bigger and closer to the edges.

The rumour-mill has said the names for these smartphones could be the iPhone XS, the iPhone XS Plus or Max, and the iPhone XC.

This budget will be similar to its trio siblings in some ways, for example, it will feature an all-screen design, but in order to cut costs and sell it at a cheaper price, the budget iPhone will not be equipped with all the premium features.

However, besides those two awesome phones, Apple kept its focus on a budget device, and we are happy to hear about it. It'd also make for a new set of options in the peripherals universe - USB-C means more manufacturers can get in on the game without direct Apple Certified certification. Weeks after the iPhone XS renders surfaced on the internet, we now have the more affordable 6.1-inch LCD iPhone which will possibly be called the iPhone Xc.

The third phone, a new low-priced version of the iPhone X, could be the hit of the product roll out. The reason for that lies mostly in the physics of the high-band spectrum being used for 5G, which requires several big antennas placed around the device to achieve consistent signal. This will only be possible on Wednesday when Apple will present the new products at the Steve Jobs Theater on their own campus.

Two of them - the smallest and biggest - will have OLED screens; OLED screens have been in smartphones for some years now, though Apple only made a decision to use it for the first time last year on the iPhone X.

What's particularly interestingly about this weekend's leak, is that according to The Apple Post, the screenshots pictured may have leaked courtesy of Apple, itself.

The event may also include Apple Watch internet-connected wrist wear getting its first significant redesign since it debuted three years ago.

Beyond phones and watches, Apple is planning a series of other products later this year.

Next up is the new low-price MacBook.

Finally, as expected, AirPods 2 will show up, as will AirPower, the wireless charging pad that was announced at last year's event.

Historically, Apple has run a very tight ship when it comes to containing leaks, but things have changed slightly in more recent times.
