Julie Chen Appeared To Support Les Moonves On Her 'Big Brother' Return

Story alleges a darker side of'60 Minutes

Julie Chen, 48, has remained radio silent about her husband Les Moonves stepping down as CBS' chairman on September 9 amid sexual harassment and workplace misconduct allegations.

While Chen did not discuss Moonves's situation or what was happening at CBS following his departure during the "Big Brother" episode, many perceived the rare use of her husband's last name as a subtle show of support.

There was no shortage of excitement during Thursday night's episode of the CBS hit reality competition "Big Brother". While didn't address the controversy around her 68-year-old husband, she made it crystal clear that she's standing by him in support.

Prior to Les" resignation, Julie released a statement saying "I have known my husband, Leslie Moonves, since the late "90s, and I have been married to him for nearly 14 years". "Julie is completely heartbroken by the humiliating allegations against her husband Les which have preceded his leaving CBS".

Chen was absent Monday for the season premiere of "The Talk".

"I think that is a disgrace to her husband's victims", wrote one Twitter user. In July, she posted a brief statement on Twitter, following The New Yorker's first report alleging Moonves harassed several women with unwanted kissing and touching and contributed to a toxic workplace culture at the network. Good night, ' she said.

She posted a photo on Twitter of her holding a "Big Brother" reading card to tease her appearance on the episode. 'He has always been a kind, decent and moral human being. In response to the New Yorker report Sunday, Moonves said he never used his position "to hinder the advancement or careers of women" and called the allegations untrue.

Moonves has denied any wrongdoing.
