Roseanne Barr’s character dies of opioid overdose on spin-off show The Conners

Roseanne: My character gets killed off 'The Conners' by opioid overdose

Roseanne Barr, who was sacked from the "Roseanne" reboot and not included in the new spinoff, "The Conners", after posting racist remarks on Twitter, is unhappy with the way the creators of show will allegedly kill off her character.

"I never was going to have Roseanne Conner die of an opioid overdose", she said.

She told Dr. Oz she wants to be out of the United States so she can distance herself from further controversy once "The Connors" premieres.

In this most recent interview, the actress said she believes the "Roseanne" audience is being treated unfairly. "It's done. It's over". But hoping to prove that Roseanne isn't an indispensable part of the long-running series, liberals demanded that the series be re-configured without Barr's central character.

Barr's firing came swiftly after she posted a racist tweet making fun of Obama White House aide Valerie Jarrett in the spring. And that's what they chose to do, so there's nothing I can do about it.

Fans have been wondering how TV bosses will pick up the show without the comedienne, and now she reveals the TV Roseanne will die after suffering an opioid overdose. "There's no fight left". That's in stark contrast to what she tweeted in May. "Defending myself or being angry for being mischaracterized and, you know, I don't..." We'll find out when The Conners premieres in October. Later on, Roseanne gave up her rights to the show, and the network proceeded with a spin-off which she can't benefit from financially or creatively.

You may remember that Roseanne was suffering a pain pill addiction and in the last episode, she had a secret stash of pills hiding from her husband and family.
