No change to Aguero selection despite new contract, warns Guardiola

Inside City is jam packed with behind the scenes footage of Sergio Aguero's contract extension, KDB at the Federation Internationale de Football Association 19 awards party and Steph Houghton as a hologram!

AGUERO joined from Atletico Madrid for a reported £38 million having coming off a solid performance at the 2011 Copa America with Argentina.

After a disappointing World Cup with Brazil, Jesus has just one City goal to his name this season and was replaced by Aguero after 63 minutes in their surprise 2-1 Champions League defeat to Lyon on Wednesday.

Aguero added: "I am happy for this additional year".

"My idea was being here for 10 years".

He signed a five-year deal in 2014 and a one-year extension in summer 2016, and will be 33 when his contract expires.

"To be out of the Champions League and win the Premier League again, I'd sign it now".

"The ideal is to have a full stadium every time and being behind the team like insane but we know sometimes it doesn't happen". I'm very happy about everything that involves the Club, my teammates, the staff and the management team.

"They were nice words that we had!" he said.

"At the same time, the youngsters have quite developed already, like Leroy, Raheem, Bernardo and Gabriel".

"I understand when you take that decision - it happened in Barcelona many times - I always know the reaction [will be bad] when the result is not good, but I have to take decisions". You have to learn from that and improve.

Guardiola said: "I speak with the doctors sometimes and he's telling me he's going so well, going good".

"Players like him, Vincent [Kompany], David [Silva], they decided because they show every day in training sessions, on the pitch off the pitch, their commitment to our club".
