Six Florida races slated for recounts

In the Governor election, DeSantis' lead has dropped to 0.52 percent.

By 2 p.m., Gillum gained on DeSantis by another 4,441 votes, and now trails by only 0.47 percent.

In wake of Hurricane Maria, many Puerto Ricans moved to South Florida and they've expressed their frustration with the president's inability to help as the territory struggled to rebuild.

In Miami-Dade, only provisional and overseas ballots remained uncounted.

Until unofficial returns are submitted Saturday, it's possible that leads for Scott and DeSantis will further erode, and for Fried to build some further separation from Caldwell, especially if the bulk of early voting, mail-in ballots and Election Day ballots are still being counted in areas where Democrats dominate. "We'll never know all that they did".

Elections officials in Broward County, where Democrats have a large advantage, were still counting votes Thursday. But Nelson is not conceding.

Gillum conceded on Election Night, but as the vote margin began to narrow Thursday he said he wanted to see every vote counted, strongly indicating he would not stand in the way of a recount.

Democratic legal teams kicked into action Thursday in Florida, demanding a recount they insist will ultimately declare Democratic Sen.

Under Florida law, a recount is mandatory if the winning candidate's margin is less than 0.5 percentage points.

DeSantis led Gillum by 0.52 percent as of Thursday morning, above the half-percent margin that triggers an automatic machine recount.

The Republican Party had no immediate response to the developments, but Mr. Scott's campaign said bluntly that Mr. Elias was launching an effort to steal the election. The margin is now less than 0.5 percentage points.

Republican Senate candidate Rick Scott has declared victory in Florida, but the Democrat incumbent, Bill Nelson, is calling for a recount. It's a sad way for Bill Nelson to end his career.

Republican candidate for Florida governor Ron DeSantis speaks during an event put on by the Police Benevolent Association in Palm Beach County, on October 3, 2018. He had a race of his own for one of Florida's two seats in the U.S. Senate, challenging sitting Sen.

Ingoglia was particularly harsh about the lack of information coming from Broward and Palm Beach counties.

You can read Gov. Scott's lawsuit against Brenda Snipes, Broward County Elections Supervisor, below or here.

As of Thursday evening, it met the qualifications to undergo a manual recount, with Scott earning 50.09 percent of the vote.

Due to a combination of racism, Andrew Gillum's alleged involvement in an FBI investigation, the obvious suppression of 1.4 million formerly incarcerated people's votes, and a few other factors, Florida's major statewide races this year were remarkably close. "Nowhere. And how is it when Democrats are behind, they always manage to pick up votes after the fact?"

"We are requesting the total number of provisional ballots in Pasco County, and the voter information for these ballots", Grace Albergo, regional political director for Scott's campaign, wrote in an email published by The Tampa Bay Times.

Election officials in other Florida counties may have disclosed the identities of which voters cast provisional ballots, however.

The President said officials involved in the "phony dossier" about his campaign's contacts with Russian Federation are involved in the recount efforts. "The ones that are accepted will all be opened and we'll tabulate those tonight to add to the count".

The Florida Elections Canvassing Commission - comprised of Scott and two Cabinet members - is slated to meet 9 a.m. November 20th to certify the election results.
