Kareem Hunt of Kansas City Chiefs placed on commissioner's exempt list

Kareem Hunt

Kareem Hunt is deservedly in hot water after a video emerged of the star running back attacking a woman-shoving and kicking her in the aftermath-outside his Cleveland apartment in February.

TMZ reports the incident happened around 3:20 a.m. on February 10, at Cleveland hotel. The league needs to implement a consistent system of punishment when it comes to incidents such as the one Hunt is now involved in. The Chiefs already made the decision to send Kareem Hunt home from the team facility today after they learned of the videos release to the public. The woman claimed that she was kicked out of Hunt's hotel room after refusing to have sex with one of Hunt's friends.

Interesting because, according to TMZ, the surveillance video from the hotel was obtained by law enforcement and was part of the evidence that was submitted to prosecutors.

Kansas City (9-2) plays in Oakland (2-9) on Sunday.

Hunt's friend said the women stayed out in the hallway for about 30 minutes as Ottinger continued to yell and pound on the apartment door, the report says.

As friends try to hold him back, the 2017 Pro Bowler - who led the league in rushing yards - explodes and knocks one of his friends into the woman ... who both go flying into a wall. Hunt had been accused of physically assaulting a 19-year-old woman at a Cleveland hotel. Rice was initially given a two-game ban for the incident, but was then suspended indefinitely after TMZ published video of the assault from inside the elevator.

In June 2018, TMZ reported that Hunt had been involved in a fight with a man at the Bay Lodging Resort in Put-in-Bay, Ohio. "Just be in the right place at the right time". That's in part because of Hunt, who was the NFL's leading rusher last season as a rookie and ranks fifth in the National Football League with 824 rushing yards this season.
