Eric Trump Attacks "Disrespectful" George Conway

MUELLER'S MISSION: Jerome Corsi Files 'CRIMINAL COMPLAINT' Against Mueller for Seeking 'False Testimony'

Corsi, who is connected with political operative Roger Stone, had said that he was being improperly pressured by Mueller's team to strike a plea deal, Fox News reported.

"Those who said the president's warm and complimentary tweet constitutes witness tampering should be reminded that I have never been contacted by any investigative body and therefore, by definition, this can not be true", Stone told the Daily Caller's Saagar Enjeti.

Commenting on an investigation is not in and of itself a crime, but a Monday morning tweet by President Trump has some legal experts wondering if it crosses a line into witness tampering.

US President Donald Trump on Monday called for "a long prison term" for his ex-lawyer Michael Cohen, after Cohen admitted lying to Congress about pursuing a real estate deal with Russian Federation on Trump's behalf during the 2016 election campaign.

Trump wrote that Cohen did "terrible" things that were "unrelated to Trump" and said that he believes Cohen should "serve a full and complete sentence". "I've had no discussion regarding a pardon", Stone said.

Trump declared that Stone (who was kicked off Twitter in October 2017 for spewing threatening obscenities at CNN reporters) will never flip on him.

Last week, he also pleaded guilty to lying to Congress.

In an interview with ABC News on Monday, Corsi, who said that he chose to reject a plea deal he said was offered to him by Mueller, provided ABC News with copies of a plea agreement he said was drafted by Mueller's prosecutors, which cites three emails involving Stone.

Yesterday, after a morning tweet storm by President Trump, George Conway, the husband of the Counselor to the President of the United States, Kellyanne Conway, implied that the president had broken the law with a single tweet.

18 U.S.C. § 1512 is, plain and simple, witness tampering.
