AMC AIRS REDFORD’S AMERICAN WEST JUNE 11th

The new docu-series The American West (2016), produced by Robert Redford, is set to premiere on the AMC Network this June 11th (10pm EST). Focusing on the period between 1865 and 1890, the eight-part series will share lesser-known stories of famous Western icons such as Billy the Kid, Jesse James, Sitting Bull, Crazy Horse, and Wyatt Earp.

In addition to chronicling the stories of famous Western figures, the series will also feature interviews with celebrated actors from the Western genre such as Redford, Tom Selleck, and Kiefer Sutherland. The American West will begin airing after the first episode for the last season of AMC’s railroad Western Hell on Wheels (2011-Present) – here is a combination trailer for both:

  2. A very disappointing version of George Armstrong Custer… I don’t think he is anything close to the real man.
    Why do we have to see such inferior depictions of complex & enigmatic characters? He was a fascinating individual with dimensions of character that this cartoon image completely belittle. It was pitiful.
