NEW RAILROAD SIMULATION GAME COMING IN 2018

A new railroad simulation game will launch in 2018. Railway Empire, by Kalypso Media, will launch for Xbox One, Sony PS4, and PC (personal computer) platforms in the first quarter of next year.

As a rail management simulation, the game will allow players to explore the technology and economics of building a railroad in the 19th century, with your success mirrored in the development of communities that spring up along the way. Beginning in 1830s North America, Railway Empire covers a 100-year period with numerous tasks to perform. Among them, would-be tycoons will need to purchase train sets, own railway stations, and manage employees. The game involves some 300 forms of technology, with five distinct eras of steam innovation.                                                                                                                                                                                                          
Players will be able to choose between six distinct character types, with the option of designing your own. The game will also have a ‘Ride Along’ feature, allowing you to ride your train in first-person view. However, Railway Empire is not a game of isolation. Players are pitted against up three rival magnates, with the potential for industrial espionage ever-present. Here is a trailer for the game:
